Activity 1: Shadows and Glows on Text
For this activity, you must demonstrate the effective use of Shadows and Glows. You will do this by creating a collage of the names of the courses you are taking this year.
Use the following criteria:
- Create a canvas size of W: 500 by H: 500, and a canvas colour of white, so that your teacher can easily see that you have demonstrated the concepts.
- You must have
a minimum of 6 textboxes including the following:
- 2 textbox that shows just a Drop shadow.
- 2 textbox that shows just an Inner shadow.
- 2 textbox that shows just a Glow.
- Each item on
your collage must be a different colour
- the text and shadow/glow must be contrasting (light and dark) colours.
- You must demonstrate
the following techniques in your collage:
- Rotation of textbox
- Changing font (colour and style)
- Changing shadow effects (distance, colour, opacity, etc.)
- Changing glow effects (distance, colour, opacity, etc.)
- You will also be marked on the overall appearance of your collage.
