File Creation

W3C (World Wide Consortium) is the governing body that determines what standards should be adhered to when creating web pages. Dreamweaver has some built in functions that help ensure that your web page follows the necessary rules.

Try This:

To create a file in Dreamweaver

Choosing File >> New.

Choose Basic Page >> HTML and ensure that Make Document XHTML Compliant is checked.

Save the page as index.html within our site.

When you save the file you should now see it in your Site View on the right hand side of your screen. ()

After creating a new file, you can choose 1 of 3 views.

Allow we are using Dreamweaver to create the files, it is important to understand the HTML code working in the background, so that if things do not look the way wehad planned, the problem can be fix in the code.
